The
polyphonic octave generator.
The original POG changed the way octave effects worked. Instead of glitching, choking, or falling apart on chords, it delivered fast, fully polyphonic tracking that transformed guitars, basses, synths, and entire mixes into something bigger. Recreated in plugin form, the EHX POG captures the unmistakable sound and response of the original hardware while expanding it for modern production workflows.
Using proprietary component-level modeling, the interaction between its pitch generation, filtering, detune, and signal path has been recreated preserving the same immediate, musical feel as the original pedal.

Built from
multiple voices.
POG generates one octave down, one octave up, and two octaves up from the original signal, each with independent level control for blending everything from subtle thickening to towering harmonic stacks. From 12-string shimmer and organ-like textures to massive synth-inspired tones, it reshapes the source without losing articulation.

Tracking that
stays musical.
Whether it’s full chords, fast arpeggios, or single-note lines, POG tracks with the same smooth response that made the original pedal stand apart. Notes stay defined and reactive, even with complex playing or heavily layered octave combinations.

Beyond guitar.
POG was never limited to guitar alone. Its fully polyphonic design processes bass, synths, keyboards, vocals, and full mixes with the same responsive tracking, opening the door to layered harmonics, sub-octave reinforcement, and entirely new textures across any source.

Built for
modern workflows.
Exclusive plugin-only features extend the original hardware for modern production workflows, with input and output filters for additional tone shaping and up to 8x oversampling for pristine audio quality.
